14 Ideas That Redefined My Life

Top learnings I am taking into 2025.

It is the 31st. I was contemplating whether to send this week’s edition. But you know it, we can’t break the streak…

Since it was the last day of the year, I also went out on a morning run to just feel that runner’s high all over again. 🏃

One of my favorite parts of being online is discovering how others think. It’s fascinating how a single idea or quote can reshape your perspective on life.

This edition is a little different from my usual. I couldn’t resist sharing these gems—some are well-known, others are personal lessons or insights from conversations here. Each one has left a mark on me.

14 Lessons That Have Stayed With Me in 2024

1. “What separates the winners from the losers is that even when they fail, they keep trying.”

This one hits home. Life has taught me that consistency is everything. Showing up, no matter what, changes the game.

It reminds me of the one goal I didn’t accomplish in 2024—a pull-up. But I tried every day. And I’m walking into 2025 with the same spirit.

2. “Keep playing to win, even when the game is no longer fun.”

No matter how much you love something, there will be dull moments. Stay committed. The real rewards often lie just past the boredom.

3. “Be the person you want to be around.”

Whether it’s as a friend, partner, or mentor—embody the qualities you admire. Your vibe attracts your tribe.

4. “A calm mind, a house full of love, and a healthy body cannot be bought.”

Some truths don’t need explanation.

5. “The most prized possession you have is your muscles.”

As someone who wasn’t athletic growing up, building strength has completely transformed me—physically and mentally.

6. “Money won’t solve all your problems, but it will solve all your money problems.”

Anyone who says money doesn’t matter is either lying or already has enough of it.

7. “No matter how hard you train, somebody will train harder. No matter how much you want it, somebody will want it more. I am somebody.”

Every day, I remind myself: that I am my competition.

8. “We must all either wear out or rust out, every one of us. My choice is to wear out.”

I’d rather push myself than settle for comfort. Living fully means challenging your limits.

9. “Until death, all defeat is psychological.”

Failures, heartbreaks, bad days—they’re temporary. True defeat only exists if you stop trying.

10. “Running is awful. I love it.”

The paradox of my life. Enough said.

11. “You can just do things.”

No permissions. No validation. Just start. Sam Altman’s quote reminds me of Tim Ferriss’ words: “Beg for forgiveness, don’t ask for permission.”

12. “These clubs, these parties, all this shit ain’t going nowhere. The more weird you are, the more it reflects how committed you are to focusing on your shit.”

A week ago, I felt FOMO for skipping New Year parties. But honestly? I’ve never enjoyed them. My time feels better spent on what truly matters.

13. “A crisis is a terrible thing to waste.”

Tough times are opportunities to grow, rebuild, and keep moving forward.

14. “You can’t complain about having a lot on your plate when you intend to eat.”

Overcommitting is a habit of mine, but it’s one I thrive on. When it gets overwhelming, I remind myself: I chose this.

What I’ve Been Up To

After four years of constantly pushing myself, I finally took a break last week. No work, no gym, no deadlines—just being out in the sun.

I spent my time soaking up the sun, running on the beach, diving into some good books, savoring coffee, enjoying delicious food, and wandering through quiet lanes. :)

I don’t usually take breaks—not because they’re unnecessary, but because I hate losing momentum. The past two days have been a struggle to restart, but I’m glad I took the time off. It gave me the clarity to reflect on life, work, and what’s next.

I hope you’re enjoying the holidays and closing out the year on a high note. My plan? Rebuild my flow, dive into some side projects, and get ready to crush it in 2025.

As we wrap up the year, I’m grateful for starting this newsletter and for having you as part of it. :)

Cheers to winning,

See you next year! 👋
