I talk about this a lot —
But I believe the only reason I’ve gotten to where I am is because of hard work.

And that hard work?
It got me lucky.

But here’s the weird part —
It never felt like “hard” work.
Not the way people talk about it.

I was just showing up—
again and again—
because I liked what I was doing.
Because it meant something to me.

The truth is:

Hard work only feels hard when it’s not aligned.
When you're forcing yourself to do things that drain you, just because someone said it’s the “path.”
That’s not ambition. That’s burnout on a timer.

And yet, I’ve seen the opposite happen:

But here’s what people don’t tell you:

Fulfillment doesn’t come from “success.”
It comes from working on things that matter to you,
with people you admire,
in a way that reflects who you are.

Because then even when you fail, you don’t feel like you lost.
You just feel like you've lived.

If I had to do it all again, here’s what I’d tell myself:

1. Chase what energizes you, not just what validates you.
Start noticing the things you do that make time disappear.
That you want to get better at.
That you’d still do even if no one noticed.

2. Be willing to be bad for a long time.
You don’t need to be great right away.
You need to care enough to keep going.

3. Surround yourself with people you respect.
It’s about being around people whose work ethic, energy, and values stretch yours.

4. Redefine what counts as progress.
Growth isn’t just numbers.
It’s trying again. It’s learning a skill. It’s finishing something you used to avoid.

5. Make space for small wins.
If you only celebrate the big stuff, you’ll stay miserable 90% of the time.
Start noticing what’s working.

Final thought:

You don’t need to suffer your way to success.
You need to love your way into mastery.

And if you're lucky, the thing you love will start loving you back—
With progress, with people, with moments you couldn’t have planned.

It’s not about talent or timing.
It’s about showing up—
Fully. Repeatedly.
Even on the days you question why.

Because even if you fail,
You’ll either try again…
Or live with no regrets,
Knowing you gave your all
to something you believed in. 💪
